Well, we were gone last week, so no new recipe this week, and sorry you didn't hear from me last week either!
November 3 was our 7th anniversary, and we always take vacation for our anniversary every year. We travel alot during the year, but never just the two of us, so this was a very relaxing week for us! We really needed that time together, alone, to recharge individually, but also as a couple. Not that we were having problems in our marriage, but when life/work/school/ministry gets so crazy, we (like everyone else) have a tendency to just "survive". So, we had a great vacation that was relaxing, rejuvenating, restoring....OK I'll stop with the "r" words...
We decided to go to North Carolina, partly because we needed to visit Scott's grandparents, and because we love that area! We have been up there around our anniversary before and we always miss the "leaf season", but this year it was a late season and we were there right at the peak! The mountains were ablaze with red, yellow, gold, orange and every shade in between! It sounds cliche, but the pictures do not do them justice!
This is a tree at Jump Off Rock...the setting sun is making the orange and gold even more brilliant! We always go to Jump Off Rock whenever we are in Hendersonville! Scott took me there the first time we came to visit his grandparents, way back in 1999, before we were even engaged! We always try to get a pic too!
The silhouette pic is not us, but another couple who were having pic made. I just thought it was pretty!
Well, I will update more about our trip! That's all for now!
